No....I am not dead yet...although some days it feels like it. I have been working 11 hour shifts and it's catching up with me, so I spent this weekend sleeping...and writing....and sleeping. So today, as I got bored from all the sleeping, I went and practiced my newest hobby - archery. I'm not too shabby at it, either. I figure it gets me outside for a little bit. I also wrote...and...get this...FINISHED a story! Well, there's a lot more I could add but the basics are down...and now...I shall force down your throats....an excerpt:
"The
sun had just set, the moon was full, and there was a slight chill in
the air. I was admiring a particular bush that held blooms that were
so white they seemed to shine silver in the moonlight. I heard
something snap behind me and I spun around to find myself staring
into the face of the most incredible man I had ever seen. He was
smiling, which set off his fine features even more. His eyes were a
blue-green color, and his face was shadowed by a close cut beard. He
was touching a bloom close to the one I had been looking at."
Yeah. Cheesefest, I know, but I am in the throes of yet another soul-crushing crush. I might as well use the muse lest I lose it!
